Why The F150 is the Perfect Noodling Companion

Noodling, graveling, catfisting, stumping. Whatever you call it, going after catfish with only your bare hands is an exciting experience. Even in desert states such as Utah it's possible to find a lake or stream where it's possible to try this alternative fishing experience. Of course, to go with an adventurous activity, you need a vehicle that can also handle some adventure. Here are a few reasons why the Ford F150 is the perfect noodling companion.

1

Carrying Capacity

Carrying Capacity

In 2005, fishermen in Thailand caught a Mekong giant catfish that weighed 646 pounds and was nearly nine feet in length. The catfish you nab while noodling probably won't be anywhere nearly as big (most flathead catfish that noodlers catch weigh about 40 pounds), though you can be sure that the Ford F150 will be able to carry a full load without any problem.

Off the Beaten Path

Off the Beaten Path

Getting to the best fishing spot can prove to be an adventure in and of itself. After all, many of the best fishing holes are far from civilization – but with four-wheel drive, that won't be a problem.

It's a Ford

Forget Chevy, Dodge or Toyota. There's a reason the F150 is the best-selling vehicle in America for over 32 years.

It Doesn't Mind Getting Dirty

It Doesn't Mind Getting Dirty

Noodling can be dirty business, so it's a good thing your truck can handle getting some mud on the tires or having some fish flopping around in the truck bed.

Hardcore Haulin'

While noodling for flathead catfish is done close to the shore, sometimes to get to the best noodling locations you need a boat. So it's a good thing your truck can haul one without any trouble.

Another advantage of the Ford F150 is its roomy interior. You don't even need to bring a tent for those overnight fishing trips in the Utah mountains – just lean back and relax.
