Monday Speakers - FileMaker DevCon 2014

Darren is a FileMaker 7-13 Certified developer and heads up the FileMaker Pro Development team at Pacific Data Management. He was technical liaison for Developer Relations at FileMaker, Inc., where he provided technical support to the FileMaker Solutions Alliance. Darren is a veteran speaker at the FileMaker Developer Conference and has written articles for FileMaker Pro Advisor Magazine and ISO FileMaker Magazine. He's been developing FileMaker solutions for clients like Apple, Adobe and FileMaker, Inc. for over 14 years.

Alexei is an independent FileMaker developer and longtime member of the FileMaker community. She worked for many years as a senior systems engineer for FileMaker, Inc., where she provided high-level technical guidance to customers and contributed to the development of future product direction. She’s an experienced speaker who has made numerous technical presentations. She is a FileMaker 7-12 Certified developer and FileMaker trainer.

Ronnie, Solutions Consultant at FileMaker, Inc., brings over 15 years of experience in consulting and database software solutions development. For more than five of those years he worked at Apple Retail providing pre and post-sales technical assistance to customers, developing internal systems and reporting tools, and ultimately growing into technology coordinator and consultant roles with the business team. Ronnie holds an MBA, several Apple certifications, is a FileMaker 11 and 12 Certified developer, FileMaker trainer, and is fluent in Spanish.

Doug is the founder of Exoteric Inc., a Toronto-based FileMaker consultancy with clients in Canada and the United States. While working on his Ph.D. at York University in Toronto he lectured in front of audiences large and small. A previous FileMaker DevCon speaker, Doug has worked as a FileMaker developer for the past 19 years, and is celebrating his 18th year as a member of the FileMaker Business Alliance. He has written numerous FileMaker articles and spoken at FileMaker user groups and FileMaker events across North America. Doug is FileMaker is a 9-13 Certified developer.

Jerry Robin is the owner of Transmography (formerly known as FMPtraining) and has been designing FileMaker databases since 1988. He is a FileMaker 7-12 Certified developer providing custom FileMaker development services, as well as private coaching for other FileMaker developers. Jerry created the Stairway to Seven course (with Geoff Coffey and Susan Prosser) and was a Technical Editor/Reviewer for O’Reilly’s “Missing Manual” for FileMaker Pro 9 and 13. In his spare time, he performs standup comedy and wins medals in Dog Frisbee competitions.

Kieran, FileMaker Senior Systems Engineer for the United Kingdom, graduated from Bournemouth University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Information and Technology. He has a wide range of technical, business, and engineering skills from a variety of sectors including academic, manufacturing and publishing. He holds Microsoft, Apple and Prince II certifications and is currently a FileMaker 12 Certified developer and a FileMaker trainer.
