These were some old slides of Largs Scotland taken by Kathleen Parrish early 1960's and made into a video. We went for a trip of the ferry round the Island of Millport Cumbrae.
Driving into and out of Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland in my works Ford Transit 115 t350 towards the end of a morning snow shower. We haven't seen much if any snow at all on the south west coast of Scotland this year. Recorded using a Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ9 camera on SVGA mode.
The Robert Burns Memorial Park in the Douglas Park, Largs, North Ayrshire. The garden was designed by Robert McKay and was opened in 1978 by Councillor Sam Gaw an ex-President of the Irvine Burns Club and an ex-President of the Robert Burns World Federation.
Looking from the Haylie Brae (approx 600 feet above sea level), towards the town of Largs, on the south west coast of Scotland. Also visible, Ailsa Craig (a volcanic plug approx 38 miles out to sea from Largs, and halfway between Glasgow and Ireland), the Isle of Arran, Hunterston Ore Terminal, Largs Marina, the Isle of Cumbrae and the ferry going from Largs to Millport.
The sun was shining today (unusual when I'm on holiday!), and I was out with a friend. We decided to climb the Haylie Brae near Largs. The local weather hasn't been great recently and we haven't been there in ages.
