Resource List for Enchancement of Content Pedagogy

Here are a list of resources that I have useful in my short eight years of teaching and in the past year researching.

Education and Training

This is the link to the standards that I will be teaching next year. It is imperative to know and understand the standards that you are teaching.

These standards have just been updated and revised as of January 2013.

Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual discovery tool that you can use to find ideas for all your projects and interests.
I use Pinterest daily to gather lesson plans, ideas, and decorations. Pinterest is a must.

PreKinders: Ideas & Resources for Pre-K & Preschool Teachers

PreKinders is a resource site for teachers of Pre-K and Preschool with teacher-created activities, lesson ideas, printables, and themes for your classroom.
I used this website weekly when I taught Pre-K. Now that I am teaching high school ECE, I will be able to reference this site for the students to use. They will be able to reference the site as well.

I love YouTube. I especially love Ted Talks and Educational Ted Talks are amazing. I plan on using them in my classroom next year to compliment my lessons.

SLDS - Georgia Department of Education

This is our county's SLDS website. You need a user name and password to have access, but it contains a wealth of resources for data tracking and lesson plans.
