Bandido Brewing Quito

Bandido Brewing in Quito's Old Town marks the definite arrival of quality micro brew to a country who has survived for too long on National beer. Located across from the Mercado Central in a converted chapel, its American owners keep the home fires burning, so to speak, while producing batch after batch of quality ales, ciders and stouts. Stop by to step away from the beaten path, spend some time chatting to the owners-bartenders and stay for the laid-back ambiance and good company of expats and travellers.

Now serving their tasty ales, ambers, stouts and specialty brews in Quito, Canoa and Banos, they show no sign of slowing down, while producing quality beer for their fans of expats and travellers.

El Quetzal, Mindo

While better known for chocolate, having a local confectionery cooking up some of the best in the region, El Quetzal is also the place to find ginger beer in Mindo. Stop by for their daily chocolate tour, stay for dinner and try the ceviche with a pint of specialty beer which tingles the taste-buds and packs a punch!

Sray Dog Dog Brew Pub, Banos

Jason the chef, hails from Chicago where he honed his culinary chops while working in some of the city's better eateries. Since opening, the Stay Dog has become the spot to catch up with your neighbor, catch some live music and enjoy tasty food and microbrews before heading out on the next days adventure.

St. Andrews Pub, Cumbaya

Located in the valley twenty minutes from Quito, St. Andrew's Pub is part of the growing number of restaurants and bars to set up shop around the main square in the upscale suburb. The regualt tap includes blondes, reds and stouts. They also have a daily two for one special on main courses such as fish and chips and steaks during the day and a two for one happy hour for beers in the early evening. Make the journey from Quito to enjoy a night out in a different part of Quito away from the beaten path.
