Here's an interested time lapse video made aboard a ship cruising through the icy waters of Spitsbergen, Norway. It's cool to see the ship navigate and break through ice, while the passengers get off the ship to explore the land. This timelapse was made using a simple GoPro Hero3 camera.
The noise you ear is due to the ice the boat is shooting. We were reaching a place for geological and biological investigations.

The morning mist clears lazily as it slowly reveals the untouched landscape of the 8 kilometer long Magdalene Fjord. Situated on the northwest coast of the island Spitsbergen (Norway) we find ourselves less than 1000 kilometres away from the icy North Pole.
We were invited to sail through the Arctic with Doug Stoup of Ice Axe Expeditions in the spring of 2011. For seven nights we explored fjords and skied virgin terrain while living aboard the Jonathan IV. The trip was incredible and we put together a promo video for Ice Axe in thanks for our invitation.
