Welcome to Kristiansand, the administrative, business and cultural capital of Southern Norway! Right in the midle of what international media have named "the coolest riviera". The present population of 80.000 makes Kristiansand Norway's fifth largest city.

Kristiansand is the business and cultural capital of Southern Norway. Nicknamed "the coolest riviera" by the media, it is a modern city with a cosmopolitan history. A leading light in the technology sector and number one in exports, the Kristiansand-region is one of the fastest growing regions in Scandinavia.

Business has been bringing me to Kristiansand, Norway this year. It is now the high summer season in Kristiansand and the area is full of vacationers (or are they called holiday'ers since this is Europe?), most from other parts of Norway, who head to the southern part of Norway for their summertime holidays.
