Ghent is a city and a municipality located in the Flemish region of Belgium. It is the capital and biggest city of the East Flanders province. The city started as a settlement at the confluence of the Rivers Scheldt and Lys and in the Middle Ages became one of the largest and richest cities of northern Europe.
This video was taken when I visited Belgium in 2013. I traveled to Ghent which is a beautiful city with many historic buildings. One of the most famous landmark is the Gravensteen Castle. There is an admission fee to get in but if you have never seen a real castle before, then it's well worth it.

This past summer my husband and I were exposed to an explosion of art, culture and history. We traveled to Cologne to see the Cologne Cathedral. We took part in the famous Gentse Feesten, a music and theatre festival in the city of Ghent, Belgium. Walked along the channels in Maastricht which was a treat.
