Gairloch is a village, on the shores of Loch Gairloch in Wester Ross, in the North-West Highlands of Scotland. A popular tourist destination in the summer months, Gairloch has a golf course, a small museum, several hotels, a community centre, a leisure centre with sports facilities, a local radio station, beaches and nearby mountains.

October 2012 MCR scotland took a trip from Falls of Dochart to Gairloch in scotland via Applecross, The event was just over 2 days but showed some of Scotlands most beautiful scenery.

Until fairly recently, this was a single track road. Now, (2010) only towards the Gairloch end, is there any real single track road left. As my motorcycle has no reverse gear, I prefer to have normal 4 wheeled traffic ahead of me on single track roads, to act as a buffer and gain advance knowledge of any on-coming vehicles.
