Millions of drivers from Utah to the East Coast are fiercely loyal to their car. But like all possessions, a car eventually gets to the point where it's time to trade it in for something in better shape. Many argue that they don't have the money to buy a new car, or that their current vehicle still functions fine, but that's not always the case. And there are plenty of used cars that are affordable enough for even the thriftiest of spenders. Here are a few signs that it's time to get a new ride.
Duct tape is useful for a variety of things, but if you're using it to hold your vehicle together, it's time to send it to the junk yard.
A close cousin of duct tape, many people use bungee cords to keep their damaged hoods or bumpers attached to the rest of the vehicle.
Replacing broken windows with plastic bags and duct tape isn't going to protect you from cold temperatures or anything else.
While it may be cheaper than searching for “new” used cars, replacing parts of the trunk with plywood is not going to do much good for anything inside of it.
