This database is part of the United Nation's ongoing efforts to improve collaboration and facilitate information exchange among civil society organizations (CSOs), as well as with other development partners.

The database is freely accessible, and contains the fully searchable profiles in English and in French of the above mentioned organizations, as well as the contact details of their institutional members.

This investment is worth billions of pounds of labour costs with many volunteers providing strong skill-sets and long hours that drive NGOs forward.

NGOs (non-governmental organizations) are present in nearly every country around the globe and work to address social issues. There is no central search engine that catalogs the work and focus areas of every NGO in the world. However, the web sites below provide a good starting point for research.
