We took a helicopter tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound and back, along with a boat cruise on the sound. We flew with Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters and our pilot Stefan was great. We were able to make two stops along the way on top of glaciers and ridges.

Continuing with my hiking in New Zealand, I show you the first day of the famous Milford Track in the Milford Sound. It's a boat ride across Lake Te Anau to the trailhead and then 1.5 hours hiking to the first hut of the track (Clinton Hut). Total pack weight was 25-30 lbs.

Driving into Milford sound on the way to work one morning , for a better view go there for a holiday - an excellent road trip for the motorbike , just watch out for the random driving of the camper vans in summer
