Hotel President Wilson - Geneva, Switzerland $80,000/night

With 12 rooms (and, naturally, 12 bathrooms as well), the Royal Penthouse Suite at the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva is believed to be the most expensive hotel suite in the world at about 75,000 Swiss francs – or $80,000 – a night. Just blocks from the United Nations building, on Lake Geneva, the suite reportedly has housed heads of state and celebrities like Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Richard Branson and Bill Gates – not that a hotel of that caliber would confirm those names.

Guests can take advantage of the 360-degree views through bay windows and from the four glass balconies that run at a diagonal to the city’s grid of streets—a unique touch thought up by Warner. He planned the suite with architect I.M. Pei—who came out of retirement for the project—and designer Peter Marino in a $50 million and seven-year process.

With two to chose from, a one-story and a two-story sky villa, these suites are extravagant beyond belief. Everything you could ever want in a hotel room comes standard in the Sky Villas. The Sky Villas get their names primarily because of the way they are open to the outside. Glass walls, balconies in every room, and a Jacuzzi that literally stretches out over the edge of the hotel and end in a glass well make these suites feel like your sleeping in the sky, with spectacular views of the Strip.
