Protectors of the Vale (THE HEROES OF DAE'RUN) - Curtiss Robinson.
Funny guy, really cool series and spent 20 years in the military so he knows about being a hero. This series is a bit like Lord of the Rings. It's an epic fantasy adventure loaded with action so...
The days are dark and terrifying for the defending forces of the Alliance, a steadfast coalition of elves, dwarves, gnomes and humans. Yet dual lights of hope spring from the lush forests of Celes’tia…
Rosabela, an elven shapeshifter and healer, and her twin brother Wavren, a hunter and beastmaster, leave their home to join the Protectors of the Vale, an elite band of heroes who are the world’s best defense against the dark forces.
Treacherous infiltrators hinder preparations for the approaching conflict as the enemy draws ever nearer. Rosabela and Wavren will need every ounce of their cunning, courage and skill to fight for the freedom of all as blades clash, arrows fly and magic shatters the air.
Guardians of the Mountain (The Heroes of Dae'Run) - Curtiss Robinson.
Imprisoned…deceived…betrayed… “My love, Theila is held captive…my own kinsmen have failed me and my mind…well, I am not myself.”
Wavren, Da’Shar, and Rosabela have been tasked with destroying the very essence of lycanthrope but the sacrifice is great. Which is greater; the life of an innocent man or the soul of a hero? One will be taken.
A new enemy arises from ancient ruins assembling an army of the most feared and despised abominations ever to walk the land. They have but one order: slay every mortal in the realm. Only a poor scholar, a wizard, and a clan of dwarves have the power to hold them at bay while the forces of good mobilize for the sake of all living creatures. Orcs, assassins, and the most unlikely of allies are called on to intercede but can they be trusted in such desperate times?

Imagination Destination (Kids Book ages 5-8) - Rebecca Lyndsey.
Join Kali the cat and her friends as they sail the ocean blue in search of hidden treasure and battle pirates on the high seas. Shiver me timbers! Kali and her friends teach children the wonder of using their imaginations to create a whole new world while learning the value of staying active and playing outside.
When I say that the roster of Beau Coup is deep, I'm not kidding. They published their first children's book by author and teacher Rebecca Lyndsey in February 2014
Come on a journey with me and discover how important color can be.
What if black and white were the only colors our eyes could see?
Our world is colored in brilliant hues, dazzling tints and intriguing shades. The animals, plants, the earth itself – even people are enhanced by color. Children will enjoy learning how different their lives would be if all of that beauty disappeared.
** Great informative book to make children think about how color enriches their lives.
Uses beautiful illustrations of nature, animals, and the colors which brings them to life.
For ages 3-8 with plenty of extra pop-up photos. Double clicking over the illustrations and words will activate the pop-ups

Consensual (Club Imperial Series) - Katherine Rhodes. Have this on my TBR list and I'm looking forward to it for sure!
rom the moment Nathaniel laid eyes on Emmy Westerly, he wanted her in his life. He would do anything to get her there and keep her there. To his surprise, Nathaniel found himself quickly pulled into Emmy’s dark world of whips and blindfolds, kink and submission. He was intrigued not only by the thrill of it, but by the enigma which led Emmy there as well.
Emmy could not resist Nathaniel Walsh. She couldn’t deny the electricity between them, the utter animal magnetism she felt for him. Emmy was mystified by someone as honest and uncomplicated as Nathaniel allowing her to lead him into the dark. She adored having him at the tip of her lash.
But Emmy had secrets - deep, cruel truths which led her to Club Imperial, and staying with Nathaniel would mean telling him everything. He wasn't ready for that.
Neither was she.
Once cast from Heaven, Zillah has vowed to destroy God and overtake his kingdom. But a key is needed to open the gates between the two realms.
The Key to the gate walks the earth in the form of a woman...young, innocent and completely unaware of her importance in the battle between good and evil. Once her blood is shed, Zillah can open the portal to release her father...Lucifer himself...
This is the followup to Consensual and I think I'm going to want to hit this right after I read that :)
After the vicious attack on Emmy, Nathaniel has enlisted the help of his brother and Club Imperial’s owner to make sure her secret life doesn’t make the headlines, or interfere with the justice her attackers deserve. And to make matters worse, Emmy wakes up with absolutely no memory of what she has been through.
Recovering from her injuries at Nathaniel’s sprawling estate, Emmy deals with all of the changes in her world: new friends, a different lifestyle, a new boyfriend and a brand new threat.
With a simple phone call, her past crashes head-long into her present. Her mother suddenly reappears in her life and brings with her all the terrible things she thought she’d left behind. Old scars are ripped open and Emmy’s not sure she can survive the pain again.
She has to let Nathaniel go to protect him from the hell of her past…
But he’s not walking away.
Terminal Romantic (Heller Park Book 2) - Aurora Zahni.
This is the second book in the series. It's a new adult scifi romance that's just loaded with wit.
Most rational people can agree to the fact that time and space are relative. The same could be said about love and romance. Hilary Palmer isn’t like most rational people and lives by a different set of rules than the rest of the world. Heller Park’s greatest waitress returns in an entirely different type of adventure.
Hilary has near limitless power as the universe’s last stand against irregularities in space and time, but there's always a toll to pay for such control. She is not allowed to fall in love. Correction, she can fall in love, but the universe just won’t let it stick...
Ellie Stanton - this is the first book in the Heller Park series and it's a YA that's loaded with all the banter you can handle
An imperfect, unremarkable girl makes a hero’s journey. Ellie Stanton needed to have a good day. The universe had something else in store. Getting caught shoplifting. Check. Dumping her lame boyfriend. Check. Expulsion from school. Check. Getting kicked out of her house and then stealing her mother’s car while she’s in a New Jersey turnpike rest stop Cinnabon? Check. The only sensible option is to run as fast as she can and never look back. Now Ellie is running going cross country to raise a little hell and maybe along the way learn everything she needs to know about life.
Cowboy Heat is the first book in the Hell Yeah series by Sable Hunter, who's also the head of Beau Coup Publishing. It starts with Aron McCoy and his love Libby. Let me just say that after reading this and the other books in the series you'll start to wonder just where you can find your own McCoy.
Aron McCoy has sworn off women - except for sex. When Libby Fontaine arrives at Aron's Tebow Ranch, she is determined to cram a lifetime of living into a few short months. The doctor has told her that she can't count on her remission from leukemia being a permanent one. Their attraction to one another is instantaneous and overwhelming. But when Aron finds out that Libby is innocent - he backs off...
The Last Drop - Andrea Perno.
Jeremy always said Space Academy was Earth’s last hope. People only dream of leaving a dying planet in search of better lives. Avery never expected he would be forced to do just that.
On the heels of his brother's murder, his father's disappearance and Earth's dwindling water supply now contaminated with a deadly virus, Avery and his younger brother have no choice but to leave Earth behind and join the survivors migrating the nearest habitable planet.
What they don't know is that the rarity of water extends far beyond Earth and they aren't the only ones fighting for survival.
My project was this book (Neighborwood: Earth Literacy for Kids), and I have many ideas for the series. Here is my abstract from my thesis: Abstract The themes presented in the earth literacy program are concepts that need to be taught at the beginning of one's education, not at the end. This is the vision behind Earth Literacy for Kids. The Neighborwood series will consist of sets of books that will illustrate the various earth literacy master's program themes, such as the importance of diversity, recycling, and sense of place. The animals that reside in the forest of the Neighborwood are the characters that will be learning the themes along with the reader. The guide through the journey will be the Neighborwood land ambassador, a girl whom they call Lamb. The first book will be part of a pen pal series that shows the importance of niches and diversity in communities.
