Hi, my name is Miyah Sundermeyer and I am on the Autism Spectrum. This is an introduction video for my vlog series, "Hello World, with Miyah Sundermeyer." Anyway this is a short video about my time line.

In this episode, I talk about people who are supposed to understand us and help us learn and grow. While I know they are trying to help, I find that their advice and situation handling can be harmful. There is a solution though, learning to be assertive by communicating the right way.

In this episode, I talk about an experience where I had managed to communicate with an executive director about misunderstanding an awkward situation. I also give my input about their reaction. Then I talk about how was able to handle the situation.

What happens when two meanings of communications collide for people on the Autism Spectrum vs NTs? Especially when it's online where things heat up and I don't read the cues.

In this video, I post somewhat as psychologists refer to as a stereotypical threat. How much empathy does an Autistic lack?

Instead of talking about my experiences of Autism, I chose to do an intro video about my interests in Dragon Con. Not only am I really talking about my interests but I will also be doing a series of video blogs and a slide show as well.

In this vlog, I got an interview with a patron just stepping out of pre-registration. During the interview, I asked him about his experiences with the new system vs. the recent one.

From mid 2002 until mid 2003, I resided with two roommates that were a bit older than I was. Not only did I struggle to pick up on normal cues that my NT roommates did, but I also experienced bullying as well.

I did an interview with Doug Dunklin while at Dragon Con 2013 about his interest in film and the world of Tolkien and Middle Earth. Every year, he and his daughter do a panel for the "Tolkien's Middle Earth" genre track.

This is a special video blog dedicated to Zachary Bisiar who had left this good earth on December 7, 2013 while aboard Delta Flight 128. He had cerebral palsy next also being on the Autism spectrum. In this video, I remember Zach and his wonderful family. They were very supportive of Zach as well.

This is the face of a meltdown for someone who has Autism. The title is called the "The face of a meltdown." We are not having these meltdowns out of immaturity. We are having them when our routines get interrupted. This was taped on December3, 2013.
