Every celebrity has a certain image. Bruce Willis is tough. George Clooney is classy and smooth. Tom Hanks hates Utah and its Mormon population. We rarely see these types of A-list celebrities in commercials here in the United States, but overseas it's a different story. It seems that foreign advertising agencies really have a flair for convincing American celebrities to star in their ads. Here are some of the best (not surprisingly, several are from Japan).
1
CCAA (Brazil)
In this advertisement for a foreign language school, two Brazilian boys learn why speaking English is a valuable skill when the encounter Megan Fox and Mike Tyson. Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson have also appeared in CCAA commercials.
2
Kiefer Sutherland and Calorie Mate (Japan)
Kiefer Sutherland starred in a series of commercials for the snack Calorie Mate in a spoof of his popular TV show “24.”
3
Leonardo DiCaprio and Jim Beam (Asia)
Leonardo DiCaprio may have a classy reputation in the United States, but in several Asian markets he's better known as the spokesman for Jim Beam Bourbon.
4
Find Me (China)
Despite being in English, these commercials for OPPO Find were actually created for Chinese markets. Fans of “Inception” will likely notice a familiar location in these ads. Maybe someday advertising agencies in the United States will get DiCaprio to work with them.
5
Heavenly Nespresso (France)
In this ad for Nespresso (a French coffee), George Clooney enters heaven to be greeted by none other than John Malkovich. This ad will probably never be seen by most of Utah.
6
Wacky Wes Anderson (Japan)
Wes Anderson directed this commercial for the Japanese cellphone company SoftBank, which also happened to star Brad Pitt. You'd think American advertising agencies would manage to get this kind of talent more often.
7
Hulk Hogan Sings (Japan)
You probably wouldn't associate the wrestler Hulk Hogan with singing, but that's exactly what he does in this commercial for a Japanese air conditioner.
8
Nicholas Cage (Japan)
Not to be outdone by Hulk Hogan, Nicholas Cage showcases his reputation for being a terrible actor in this series of advertisements for Pachinko, a Japanese pinball game.

Modern marketing is pure chaos. Consumers are revolting against stagnate companies and abandoning traditional media in droves. Only those who adapt will succeed. The revolution is in full-swing.
