11:15 am - 2pm Live entertainment by De Gros Martians, Kevin Ryan and Carter MacLelland. Other performers throughout the afternoon. Food and refreshments will be available from the Kings County Farmers Market and a variety of Not for profit Organizations. Traditional Childrens games, Eurobubble, Face Painting and Inflatable Amusements will be available throughout the afternoon.

Residents and friends of Miltonvale Park are invited to join us in celebrating the birth of our great nation! There will be cake and a barbecue along with some fantastic entertainment by Bryson Guptill and John MacAllar.

Come celebrate with us between 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Miltonvale Park (413 Sleepy Hallow Rd). This event is supported by the PEI 2014 Fund and the Department of Canadian Heritage. Rain location is the Milton Community Hall (7 New Glasgow Rd, corner of Rte 7 & 224).

12 noon: Flag raising ceremony with the singing of “Oh Canada” in English and French followed by a lunch of traditional Acadian foods such as: baked beans, bannock, mussels, (hot dogs for youth) and a celebratory cake.

1:30pm: Heritage presentation on the influence of the Acadians on the national anthem “Oh Canada”.

2pm - 4pm: Family portraits Wearing Traditional Acadian costumes.

The TOWN OF SOURIS along with C.A.F.E. invite you to come celebrate Canada Day, Tuesday, July 1st, 2014 at the CN Park in Souris.

Remember to bring along a chair or a blanket as seating will be limited.

Festivities will get underway at 12:00pm with Greetings from Mayor David MacDonald and MLA Colin LaVie.

Followed by Raising of the Flag & Singing of O'Canada, Cake Cutting, Volunteer Awards and Wear your Flag Contest

Then at 1:15pm our Entertainment will begin. Including Dylan Ferguson, Pieds en Candence Dance Troupe, Serpentine Studios Student Troupe.
Members of Don't Ye Know Theatre Group will be joining us dressed in period costumes for photo ops!
Childrens Activities include Inflatables, Balloon Twisters, Face Painters, etc.

The Lions Club will be set up at the Park with their Family BBQ, Hotdogs, Burgers & Mussels for Sale.
C.A.F.E. will have Ice Cream Cones for Sale

FIREWORKS @ 10PM ON SOURIS BEACH
BBQ at the beach leading up to Fireworks Show in aid of PEI RINGETTE TEAM 2015 CANADA GAMES.
