Ever since NWA came out with their hard spitting rap rhyme style, rap music has become popular around the world. Rappers influence others through their rhyme and style. These attributes have given them a social status above all others as they are hated by many for their "gangster" lyrics.

Tupac Shakur

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 - September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac and briefly as Makaveli, was an American rapper and actor. Shakur has sold over 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Tupac's gangster style rapping made him an influence to all other rappers out there. He is known for his part in the East/West coast Hip-Hop beef.

Ice Cube

Cube is noted as a lyricist and storyteller and is regarded as a brutally honest rapper; his lyrics are often political as well as violent, and he is considered one of the founding artists in gangsta rap. He was the lead singer in NWA creating hits like "Straight out of Compton", "F*ck the Police" and "It Was a Good Day".

The Notorious B.I.G. AKA Biggie Smalls

Biggie was born in Brooklyn and is noted as a gangster rapper. He began the East/West coast feud and his lyrical gangster style made him a notable rival to Tupac as he defined 90's hip hop.

Nas has been known as a poet on the mic. He known as a genius with lyrics in the game of rap and has inspired many rappers with his clean cut lyrics. He is famous for his beef with Jay-z where his song "Ether" became the most widely known diss record.

In addition to his solo career, Eminem is a member of the group D12, as well as one half of the hip hop duo Bad Meets Evil, alongside Royce da 5'9". He is widely considered the best rapper of all time and has had 10 albums on the billboards #1 spot.
