Thomas Cromwell seems to have been quite a prominent figure in the reign of Henry viii after Cardial Wolsey's fall. He's been portrayed in many theater productions, but here are some books that feature Cromwell in a rather admiring way.
1
Wolf Hall
My love for this book extends way too much that I'd rather skip anything to re-read a paragraph. My love for Thomas Cromwell grew well thanks to this book--although Cromwell has been portrayed here in a good light. The book is truly a thing of beauty. Wolf Hall won the Man Booker Prize in 2009.
2
Bring Up The Bodies
This is the sequel to Wolf Hall, and has won the Man Booker Prize for the year 2012. If Wolf Hall lay down the seeds, then its just about right to say that this novel sees the fine growth of those seeds into tender plants. The prose here is exceptionally beautiful without straying from the topic. A must-read.
3
Dissolution
Dissolution is about the solving of two murder cases by a hunchback lawyer in the time of the Tudors. Thomas Cromwell is quite an authoritative figure according to the writing in this book, and shows him to bear a strong attitude. I got to know of Cromwell from this book, and I assure that its a good read.
4
Henry viii
Cromwell has minor roles in Shakespeare's play named after the Tudor king he served under. He cannot be simply not included in the play for Thomas Cromwell is a figure of influence in King Henry viii's rule. I'm glad that Shakespeare did him justice.
5
Dark Fire
To find a lost cache of Dark Fire, an ancient weapon of mass destruction ordered by Thomas Cromwell is what drives the plot of this Shardlake-series book.
6
The Other Boleyn Girl
A brilliant book spun with the familiar sister-duo involved with King Henry viii and of course Cromwell is a part of it!
7
The Boleyn Inheritance
The book revolves around the stories of Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Jane Rochford. But it's too sad that Cromwell was executed in between while having encouraged the king to marry one of them. So yes, Thomas Cromwell does have a part in this book.
8
The Trusted Servant
Thomas Cromwell is a "is a major character in The Trusted Servant by Alison Macleod, whose main protagonist begins as Cromwell's younger protégé."
9
The Man on a Donkey
"He is one of the major characters in H. F. M. Prescott's novel The Man on a Donkey, which depicts a power struggle between Cromwell and Thomas Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy de Darcy, representing the old nobility."
