Office 365 Useful Articles

A number of articles that are useful for building Apps on Office 365 and SharePoint Online

Clearing authentication cookie when developing with multiple Office365 tenants

This is just a quick productivity tip when you are developing with multiple tenants in Office365. In my case I have many difference development tenants and our company obviously is using Office365, which adds some of the burden with the movement cross tenants.

Licensing apps for Office and SharePoint

The licensing framework for apps for Office and SharePoint gives you a way to include code in your apps to verify and enforce their legal use. You can restrict access to your apps to only those users who have a valid license, or specify which features are available, how the app behaves, or other logic, based on the properties of that license.

Apps for Office and SharePoint blog

Hi, my name is Vivek Narasimhan and with my colleagues David Mowatt and Humberto Lezama we are excited to take you behind the scenes to meet one of the best kept secrets in the next version of Office and SharePoint: the Office Store. This is an exciting time to be an Office or SharePoint developer!

CJG : O365 and Non-ADFS Federation - It's not O365's fault

I'm not a fan of ADFS. It sits right below Azure Access Control Services (ACS). ACS used to be my favorite identity provider aggregation platform, but how times change ( ref this post). Several new players are entering the market and all of them realize the missing gaps in ADFS and ACS.

FAQ: What Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 OFFICIAL accreditation means for your organisation

Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365 now hold the UK Government's recently launched "OFFICIAL" accreditation. What does that mean? It means that Microsoft Azure, an Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service cloud computing platform, and Office 365, Microsoft's public cloud productivity suite for e-mail, collaboration and unified communications, are now accredited to hold or transact public sector data for business conducted at the OFFICIAL level of Security Classification.

  • Listly By

I have spent many many hours working as a SharePoint Developer Architect and Consultant for lots of organisations in the UK such as the NHS, Tarmac, O2, Lloyds of London, Lloyds TSB, BT etc.

More recently, I spend all my time either marketing or developing DocRead for SharePoint. Strange mix I know, but I still love to develop so I always make sure I keep my hand in.

When I am not telling the world about DocRead, I am very active in the SharePoint community and am one of the co-founders of the SharePoint-Community.net. I also moderate the 2nd largest SharePoint group on LinkedIn.
