With monsoon just around the curb, people need to keep in mind to opt for the right fabrics for the weather. With humidity at it's peak, a lot of lovely summer-friendly fabrics need to be kept aside, for they may be ruined in this weather. Here is your guide to what not to wear this rainy season.

What not to wear : Avoid wearing high heels and stilettos. They are not meant for rainy seasons as they don't have a strong grip in water, one wearing them during rains may fall and hurt themselves badly.

What to wear : Instead try wearing knee length boots. Now-a-days a lot of trendy boots have come in the market with different patterns of colors. If you still don't like them much, you can always carry an extra pair of shoes and change it at your work place.

What not to wear : avoid wearing any garment that is made out of leather. They take longer than usual to dry up. Also humidity in the climate may cause moulding on the leather which will spoil the garment.

What to wear : Instead you can always opt for fabrics that easily dry up after getting wet in the rains. Fabric like chiffon, cotton, silks nylon.

What not to wear : Have you ever tried to peel off a soaking wet jeans? It's disgusting. In fact any denim clothing for that matter. They'll take days to dry up completely.

What to wear : Instead you can try wearing cotton pants, yoga pants and pant of any lighter material that will dry up quickly even if they get wet.

What not to wear : As much as possible avoid wearing full lenght pants or long sleeved shirts/t-shirts (unless you are not going to your office or a formal place like that, in which case u don't have much option) chances of you ending up with muddy or soggy hems which will irritate you the whole day.

What to wear : Instead u can opt for shorts, 3/4th pants, half sleeved t-shirts, skirts etc.

What not to wear : Pack all your whites and dump it in the back of your wardrobe this rainy season unless u want to wear them during rains and get mud stains all over you white jeans or your white top.

What to wear : instead you can wear bright or and dark colours that'll hide the stains if you got any on your garment.

What not to wear : Please don't put too of of this during monsoon. Imagine you getting wet and your mascara dripping down your face! What a horrid sight!

What to wear : Instead u can wear very light make up. If u have no option but to wear heavy make up for certain occasion remember to use waterproof cosmetics. This will help u sustain the same look the whole day.
