This is the long version of our favorite things to do in Kagoshima.

Kagoshima 鹿児島県 Prefecture at the southwestern tip of the island of Kyushu in Japan, and the largest city in the prefecture by some margin. It has been nicknamed the "Napoli of the Eastern world" for its bay location, hot climate, and impressive stratovolcano, Sakurajima.

A few videos of my sightseeing tour of Kagoshima. An amazingly beautiful city that has a relaxed atmosphere.

In this episode: - walking through the Kagoshima famous Tennonkan arcade (天文館アーケード). It is the busiest part of the city - full with shops and restaurants. Tenmonkan means observatory - once upon a time there was such in the center of the city. Also we tried the famous Kagoshima ramen (鹿児島ラーメン) and kurobuta gyoza (黒豚餃子).

We stayed in Kagoshima for one night. An evening on a boat in the harbor and wa-gyu for dinner, and a morning at the Dolphin Port. From Kagoshima we took the Toppy jet foil to Yakushima. The Suzuki rental place picked us up form the port and we collected our scooters.

Kirishima is a moutain region with the famous spas and the grand shrine in the solemn atomosphere. And this is the place where Sakamoto Ryoma and his wife Oryo enjoyed their honeymoon in the middle of 19th century, the first such couple in Japan.
