The Comoros islands are an archipelago in the Indian Ocean located about 320 km east of northern Mozambique and 480 km west of Madagascar. It comprises four islands: Grande Comore (Ngazidja), Anjouan (Nzuwani), Mohéli (Mwali) and Mayotte (Mahore). The name 'Comoros' derives from the Arabic word 'Qamar' meaning the 'moon'.

A video of me landing at Anjouan (Comoros Islands) after flying from Dzaoudzi. The steep terrain around the airfield at Anjouan mean that aircraft can only make their approach over and take off towards the sea. In other words aircraft land in one direction and have to take off in the opposite direction.
