It is a common stereotype that males should be the ones driving the Ford F-150s, but is this stereotype starting to get a little dated? Nowadays we are seeing more and more women driving around in trucks than we used to. Perhaps it’s time we throw out this old stereotype and rejoice the idea of women taking the wheel of a Ford F-150 or any other truck. Read on for some reasons we believe it’s certainly acceptable and maybe even really awesome that women drive trucks.
For many places in America, trucks like a Ford F-150 are the best fitted for the terrain. For instance, in places like Utah, which has mountainous regions and snowy roads for most of the year, a truck is the best way to go. Just like Utah, plenty of places around the nation have its reasons for truck drivers over compact cars.
For all the women who love their dogs, trucks can be the best choice if you want to avoid dirty paws in the backseat. I think we can all pretty much agree that trucks are the best way for you to tote around your big, sweet dogs. There is nothing like seeing an old Lab in the back of a Ford F-150 with his ears flapping in the wind and his slobber flying away.
Hey guys, you may want to realize that women don’t mind getting a little muddy and dusty every now and then. Maybe women want to be able to take a dirt road and spray some mud all over the place. This goes back to the location idea. Women all over the nation, from places like Utah all the way to Georgia have plenty of back roads just calling their name.
Hopefully most people have found themselves piled in the bed of a truck with all of their best friends at least once in life. There is nothing quite like it. Riding through fields (safely, of course) with loud music playing while being in the truck bed is something women can enjoy as well.
This is almost like a stereotype within a stereotype. For the most part, men are associated with having jobs that they need a truck for. Well, there are plenty of jobs that women may have in which they need a truck for as well. Say she paints or builds furniture; say she is a gardener or professional florist…the list goes on.
Trucks can almost be described as big, safe driving machines. The Ford F-150, for example has multiple safety features such as traction control, four-wheel ABS, electronic stability control, brake assist and many more that allow both the driver and passengers to have peace of mind when it comes to their safety.
Moms who drive trucks make a pretty cool statement. It’s like they are saying don’t mess with me, or my kids. They aren’t the typical mini-van driving soccer moms. These moms are the Ford F-150 driving tough moms who don’t mess around.
Should we really have to come up with reasons to defend the case of women who drive trucks? Maybe some women just want to. We shouldn’t argue with them. Perhaps there is just something awesome about driving a big, shiny Ford F-150 that women should be able to enjoy just as much as men.
