One of the most famous beaches located in southern Goa, Colva is not only famous for its War Sanda and the blue sea but also for its Our Lady of Mercy church, also known as Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Merces. This church was founded in 1630 and rebuilt in the eighteenth century in the village square.

This beach is exceptionally quiet and calm. You can spend time walking on the soft and white sand beneath your feet and enjoy the old world charm of this beach. Vagator is the place to enjoy nature. There are vast stretches of coconut trees along the beach side. The nearby Chapora villages give you the feel of rural Goa. The fishing community here is very friendly and helpful.
