One of the most famous beaches located in southern Goa, Colva is not only famous for its War Sanda and the blue sea but also for its Our Lady of Mercy church, also known as Igreja de Nossa Senhora das Merces. This church was founded in 1630 and rebuilt in the eighteenth century in the village square.
With its tall and magnificent palm trees and infamous full moon parties, ANJUNA is one of the best "alternative" beaches in Goa. The biggest reason for anyone to come to Anjuna would be to take a stroll in finding something worthy from its famous Wednesday flea market.
Apart from Baga’s famous beach, nearby sights to visit include Portuguese forts at Aguada and Chapora. In case you are a music lover and enjoy partying, Baga is the place for you. This beach is exceptionally quiet and calm. You can spend time walking on the soft and white sand beneath your feet and enjoy the old world charm of this beach. Vagator is the place to enjoy nature. There are vast stretches of coconut trees along the beach side. The nearby Chapora villages give you the feel of rural Goa. The fishing community here is very friendly and helpful.
