publicly available web services andXML data sources that are provided by the US government. USGovXML indexes data sourcesfrom all 3 branches of government as well as its boards, commissions, corporations and independentagencies. USGovXML documents, in one place and in a uniform manner, the web servicesand XML data sources that are provided by the US government. It includes detailinformation about the data source (i.e. name, description, links to documentation, tech support, etc.) as well as source code snippets (written in C#) to help developersbetter understand how the data sources can be used. When snippets are presented, the projects in which those snippets were extracted can be downloaded as zip files. If an example is available, the Example link on thepage describing the data source will be highlighted.
GreenPhylDB is a web resource designed for comparative and functional genomics in plants. The database contains a catalogue of gene families based on gene predictions of genomes, covering a broad taxonomy of green plants. Result of our automatic clustering is manually annotated and analyzed by a phylogenetic-based approach to predict homologous relationships.
Inevitably with automated sequence analysis, we find exceptions to general identification rules, isoacceptor type predictions ( esp. due to variable post-transcriptional anticodon modification), and questionable tRNA identifications (due to pseudogenes, SINES, or other tRNA-derived elements). We attempt to document all cases we come across, and welcome feedback (lowe @soe.ucsc.edu) on new or unrecognized discrepancies.

The greengenes web application provides access to the 2011 version of the greengenes 16S rRNA gene sequence alignment for browsing, blasting, probing, and downloading. The data and tools presented by greengenes can assist the researcher in choosing phylogenetically specific probes, interpreting microarray results, and aligning/annotating novel sequences.  If you are an ARB user, you can use greengenes to keep your own local database current.
Genomics of lipid-associated disorders database.
Abstract Background The excessive consumption of high calorie, high fat diets and the adoption of a sedentary life style have made obesity and atherosclerosis major health problems in Western societies. In the USA, over 50% of the population are over-weight (BMI > 25) and close to 25% are considered obese (BMI > 30) [ 1, 2].
The Kidney Development Database was created to collect in one place the data from a large number of developmental studies that have a bearing on the study of kidney development. With its oldest parts dating back to 1993/4, it is, as far as we know, the earliest computer database in the field of vertebrate organogenesis. It is updated frequently, often in response to its users' suggestions (for which we are always grateful).
Database of Experimental Results on Gene Expression.
dbERGE II stores experiment and result details for various types of experiments. The current types of experiments available are:
- DNA transfer experiments (Transfections and Transgenic mice)
- Binding assays (Gel shift, In-vivo footprint, In-vitro footprint and Methylation interference)
- Hypersensitive sites
- ChIP - on - chip experiments
As part of its Open Data initiative, the City of Brussels makes its datasets available to everyone. This gives you access to hundreds of data on culture, tourism, mobility, municipal facilities,...
