Things to do before starting school

Sure we're all soaking in summer vacation now. But school is always round the corner, and its never too late to be prepared! Be it grade school, or highschool or even university, these are general pointers you can always use.

1

Stationery

Stationery

The very basic thing is to have ready all the pens and notebooks, and the accessories like erasers and sharpeners. You're guaranteed to be busy once school starts, so its best to stock up on them beforehand.

2

Stock on them clothes

If your campus has no dress code, it is so liberating! So its up to you to stay chic and comfy in your own style. Revamp your wardrobe filling it with clothes that seem like a more relaxed second skin for you've be in them for long.

Air your uniforms if that's the code

There are academies aplenty that have prescribed uniforms; you'll be out if you're not IN it. Check if you have at least two pairs of these uniforms, and if they fit you well. Buy new ones if not for they are very vital.

Recycle!

Recycle!

Second-hand textbooks, hand-me-down shoes and clothes, used appliances could reduce the back-to-school prep cost by a lot! Ask around for these things before its too late.

5

Gear up!

Gear up!

We all have jitters when the school term is to start soon. Keep calm is the mantra: tell yourself things will be better this year, talk about it to a confidante. Tell yourself that its going to be a ten-month long 'busy' vacation that's coming up!

6

Catch up with folks and friends

Catch up with folks and friends

Once school starts, it'll suck you in its routine vortex and you won't have much time for social interactions that aren't related to school. So see those important friends and family whom you've not been in touch for a while. Leave no regrets later.

7

Make sure of the fee status

Make sure of the fee status

Schooling is pretty pricey no matter how you look at it. We've heard of many who pay through their education. Take note of how much you've paid so far, what jobs you can take to pay for them, of the scholarships available, and their deadlines. It is advisable to peel your eyes open to clear this status!

Don't forget to finish the holiday homework!!

Don't forget to finish the holiday homework!!

Everyone likes to wave off holiday homework for later...though they end up much tensed at the last minute to cram things together. Its fine if you haven't started it earlier, but check on how much you're through with it at least a week before term starts!!
