Valley of Flowers is situated in Bhyundar Valley at an elevation of 3,658 mts above sea level. You will encounter numerous cascading waterfalls on the route to Valley of Flowers. The region of Valley of Flowers is rich in varied flora and fauna. The valley of flowers was declared as the National Park of India in the year 1982 and it is now a world heritage site. The virgin beauty of this mystical valley has always lured botanists, nature lovers and adventure lovers.

Located at a distance of 35kms from Dehradun, Mussoorie is a wonderful hill station in Uttaranchal at a height of 2000mts above sea level. It is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas and is known as the Queen of the Hills.
Mussoorie derives its name from the plants of Mussoorie or shrub mansoor which are available in large quantities in this region. The history of Mussoorie dates back to 1825 when a shooting lodge was constructed jointly by Captain Young, an adventurous British military officer and Mr Shore the Superintendent of Revenues at Dehradun.
Located at an altitude of 1,938mts above sea level, Nainital derives its name from Naini Lake, a prominent tourist spot of Nainital. Nainital is located in the Kumaon region and is popularly known as the Lake District of India.

Auli is the most popular skiing destination of Uttaranchal state. Auli is situated in Chamoli district of Garhwal region covering elevation from 2,519mts to 3,050mts above sea level. Auli is a "bugyal" which means meadow in the regional language. Auli is often compared with best ski resorts of the world by the foreigners. Auli also hosted the First SAF Winter Games in the year 2011. Auli is blessed with invigorating views of the splendid mountain range, the Himalayas. The slopes of Auli provide enough thrills to professional skiers and novices alike.
Chopta is a picturesque hamlet which is still unexplored by travelers. Chopta is the commencement point of the trek to Tungnath – 3rd Kedar. Another 1.5 km trek from Tungnath leads to Chandrashila (4000mts above sea level) which offers a panoramic view of snow clad Himalayan peaks including Nanda Devi, Trishul and Chaukhamba.
Chopta itself offers splendid views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. It is located at an elevation of 2680mts above sea level. Chopta is rich in varied flora and fauna. Chopta is situated amidst thick forest of pine, deodar and rhododendrons.
Rishikesh is a famous Hindu religious destinations, popular amongst devotees, yoga persons and adventurers as well. Located on the banks of the sacred Ganga River, Rishikesh attracts thousands of pilgrims every day from India as well as abroad.
Rishikesh is becoming a popular spot for white water rafting enthusiasts, both from India and abroad, as the Ganges offers medium to rough rapids rated class 3 and class 4. It is also a center for hiking and backpacking. In previous years bungee jumping was also introduced in Rishikesh.
Jim Corbett National Park is situated in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand. Jim Corbett National park is the oldest national park in India which got established in 1936 as Hailey National park. After India’s independence the park was named as Ramganga National Park but later in 1956, it was renamed after Jim Corbett - the famous hunter turned conservationist and author, who played a major role in the establishment of national park. Jim Corbett National park is one of the renowned Wildlife Sanctuary in India.
Dodital is a freshwater lake in Uttarakhand, India, situated at a height of 3,024 metres (9,921 ft). To reach Dodital, one may reach Uttarkashi by road and then walk to Dodital here via Bebra and other minor villages alongside the Ganges river.[citation needed]. From Uttarkashi, a short jeep ride will take you to Sangamchatti from where the 21 km trek to Dodital begins.
Harsil is an unspoiled and hidden jewel of Uttarakhand state offering ample scope for people seeking peace and serenity in the lap of Himalayas. It is situated on the banks of Bhagirathi River at an elevation of 2,620mts above sea level. Harsil has become popular in recent years with travel enthusiasts and nature lovers.
Dense deodar forests, gushing water of Bhagirathi River, chirping of birds, salubrious environment and serene environs are the highlights of this little quaint destination. There are several adventurous trekking routes that you can do in the vicinity of Harsil.
Located on the Chandranath parbat in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, Tungnath is one of the sacred Panch Kedar. It is the highest temple of Lord Shiva perched at an astounding elevation of 3,680mts above sea level.
Magnificent in its architecture and artistic structure, Tungnath Temple is considered to be more than 1000 years old. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and few other idols of Goddess Parvati and other gods can be seen in the vicinity. This sacred temple was discovered by Adi Shankaracharya and now the priest of this temple is a local Brahmins of Maku village.

Lansdowne is one of the quietest hill stations of India and is popular since Britishers came to India. Lansdowne is unlike other hill stations as it is well connected with motorable roads but remote in its own way. It is situated at an altitude of 1,700 mts above sea level surrounded with thick oak and blue pine forests in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state.
Lansdowne got its name from Lord Lansdowne, who was the then Viceroy of India during the period of 1888 - 1894. Presently, Lansdowne has the command office of the Garhwal Rifles division of the Indian Army.
The Pindari Glacier is a glacier found in the upper reaches of the Kumaon Himalayas, to the southeast of Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot. The glacier flows to the south for a short distance of about 3 km (1.9 mi) and gives rise to the Pindari River which meets the Alakananda at Karnaprayag in the Garhwal district.
Standing on the top of the Chauri Jhali gazing into the vistas of the Almora valley and the tremendous view it commands. I don’t know much of suicidal tendencies, but when you are at the edge of the peak, I do sometimes have the urge to jump in the abyss. Over the years when its cousins across distance have been flooding in with more tourist, more hotels, more taxis. I am glad to say Mukteshwar hasn’t changed much; it continues just to be a “point” which can be ticked off in the excursions list from Nainital. The beauty of the place is unparalleled to any of its cousins. Jim Corbett himself fell in love with the place in 1929 when he came to Mukteshwar in search of a Man eating tiger.
