I don't think the FP has ever been in style. No one has ever let me purchase or wear one in their presence, but I'm convinced they're going to catch on soon. Here's a shout-out to the other fanny-pack fans out there who are committed to making the FP, if not "cool," or "stylish," then at least non-dorky.

If you call it a "Utility Belt" and wear it with a bikini, it's like ten times cooler than a fanny pack.

I'm starting to think it's the name that's the problem, not the FP itself, but I've also never seen anyone except a lifeguard wear one in public. This one's brand-name and cute though, with stripes and lots of colour.

On a scale of one to dorky, this one's dorky squared, but Glamour magazine suggests that you can wear it ironically. (Pretty sure they're being ironic.) FannyPackAttack.com caters to "younger generation Y types who attend music festivals, college theme parties, and Cancun/Miami spring break trips." FannyPackAttack.com is "the only website on the Internet dedicated to selling these hip-flattering masterpieces."
It looks just like a belt, but there are two thin pockets on the inside. Not sure this quite counts as a fanny pack, but it definitely counts as non-dorky.

I'm not sure "bum bag" is an improvement on "fanny pack," but Gucci makes it, so it must be chic.
cant agree any more, the fanny pack is back ,hit the fashion style in 80s. FLOCK THREE FANNY PACK.
