Best TV Attorneys

Over the years, TV has come up with some pretty good attorneys. Ranging from auto accident lawyers in Utah, to the top attorney Boston has ever seen to cartoon characters, many characters have come to life and shed new light on the practice of law. Real or fake, some of these attorneys mean business and are taking names and kicking asses while others just kind of meander their way through their cases. Either way, these guys are the best in the business.

1

Denny Crane, Boston Legal

Denny Crane, Boston Legal

The best attorney ever, according to himself. Crane was so conceited he would mumble is own name in the middle of a crowded room, just so everyone there wouldn’t forget that they were in the same room as a legend. It’s no accident he never lost any cases, he was just that good.

2

Judge Judy

Judge Judy

If you don’t love Judge Judy, you’re lying to yourself. She takes control over any and all situations from auto accidents in Florida to former friends suing each other in Utah. This lady takes no crap from anyone and makes it clear who’s boss, which is why she’s so great.

3

Alicia Florrick, The Good Wife

Alicia Florrick, The Good Wife

Having to return to work after her husband’s sex scandal was revealed, Alicia found herself at the bottom of the totem pole in the workplace. Determined to work her way up, Alicia kicks ass inside the courtroom, winning cases left and right, all while dealing with serious drama in her personal life.

4

Jack McCoy, Law and Order

Jack McCoy, Law and Order

Not afraid to bend a few rules to get the convictions needed, Jack will do whatever it takes to get the guilty off the streets. When Jack is around, one can be sure that justice will be served at any and all costs. He’s won cases from fake auto accidents to serial killings and everything in between.

5

Alan Shore, Boston Legal

Alan Shore, Boston Legal

Anyone who can handle Denny Crane deserves a round of applause. Being Crane’s colleague and best friend, Alan was often found drinking scotch and smoking a cigar at day’s end with Denny, reflecting on the days events and talking about their rather humorous lives. Thankfully they’re in Boston and not Utah, or they might qualify as the worst attorneys rather than the best.

6

Sebastian Stark, Shark

Sebastian Stark, Shark

Former defense attorney gone prosecutor. Takes no crap from anyone and refuses to lose because trial is war and anything less than a win is death. His defense attorney skills are stuck on auto-pilot, even though he now has a new profession.

7

Mike Ross, Suits

Mike Ross, Suits

It’s not accident that this guy didn’t even have to waste three years at law school to beat out the other attorneys, he just passed the Bar because he’s a freaking genius. Smart as he may be, he finds himself becoming emotionally attached to clients and their cases.

8

Lionel Hutz, The Simpsons

Lionel Hutz, The Simpsons

This guy…Hutz definitely does more harm than good, but you gotta love him anyways. A recovering alcoholic and a real character, he is always bribing clients with ridiculous items and rarely being productive.
