A sweet hat for a newborn with an adorable bow.
Now that we've warmed up with some simple crochet and knit hats, let's try our hand at something a bit more complicated! This hat made from a variation on the blanket stitch. The blanket stitch is most often used for making (you guessed it!) blankets, so its normally worked flat and back and forth.
I said I would post a free patttern, so here it is. This is a pattern for the shell stitch beanie in my previous post. I LOVE this beanie because it stitches up quickly and adds a great texture to the average beanie.
It's been a while since my last pattern post. This one has been in my notebook for some time. I'm happy to finally get it typed up for you! It is in newborn size, but you can easily adjust it by making the back portion with more rounds, adding clusters in the body rows, and adding more rows.
I really never expected to be away from blogging for so long. After my baby girl was born, I knew it would be a while before I got back into blogging but really did not see it taking over a year and a half to get a couple of posts in.
