This is the story of a Challenge Based Learning project carried out by a class of Grade 5 students from Sinarmas World Academy in Indonesia. The main idea for this project was, "It is our shared responsibility to ensure resources are more evenly distributed". The students worked with the local landfill community to identify some issues and action a solution to create a proposal to build bathrooms and toilets to improve the level of sanitation and living for these people.
The Backpack Classroom was an initiative led by ADE Jane Ross. Jane spent two weeks in the Tambunan Lumban Gaol Village near Balige in Indonesia teaching story writing on the iPad. The Tambunan village is located at the southern end of Lake Toba in North Sumatra. The people there are known as Bataks and their language is also called Batak.

You need to be patient and move very slowly or else the dragonfly will fly away. I am 10 years old and I like to write stories. This is my first published story and I hope that you enjoy it.

This story is about a rabbit called Chen Chen who goes to the moon because he wants to become an astronaut. The author got the inspiration for this story from her younger brother whose Chinese zodiac sign is the rabbit.

When she arrives there, she sees Polar Bear crying so she tries to help him. This book was intended to teach children about global warming but in a fun way! I am Nahyeon Kim and I am the author of this book. I am from Korea, and I am 17 years old. This is the first picture book I created so it is very special to me. All the illustrations have been hand painted by me. One of my dreams is to become an illustrator for children's books because I really love both children and books!
