Have you ever felt like you don't fit in? Have you had that feeling like "I really think business would work better if we treated it more like THIS?" Do you wish there was a better way to do what you think needs doing in the world?

Hi there! If you're even vaguely considering getting my new book, The Freaks Shall Inherit the Earth, but are on the fence, here's my big attempt to convince you, especially since this week is a big week in ensuring the success of its release.
DISCLAIMER: This book is only for Weirdos, Misfits and World Dominators who refuse to blend in and be part of the background. If you are a trail blazer, this book is for you. The one phrase I seem to hear a lot these days is, "I think I want to start my own business."

Welcome FREAK! That's right! I'm calling you names. But I mean that in the kindest and most generous way possible. Come on, you listen to podcasts for Pete's sake. You have to be a little weird, right? This week we have plenty of firsts. For starters, we welcome our first-ever return guest.
Do you ever wonder where you fit in? Do you sometimes get that feeling that you have something much bigger to offer the universe, but then it fills you with fear and anxiety, so you think maybe I'll just pay it safe? But what is safe? The factory job?

The last words written by Chris Brogan before he picked up his pen, poured himself a fancy tea and went back to the gym... An exhortation to you to go conquer the world or save it. A catch-cry to a movement of weirdos. A flag for feckin misfits.
The guys at Rise45 shoes in Huntington, New York are a tough bunch of owners. Think about this: they are in the same little shopping area as a Foot Locker, a Merrill shoe store, a running store, a bicycle store, and lots of other shops selling shoes (I think I missed the skateboard shops, too).
Check out the latest Productive! Magazine #19 on the iPhone, iPad or Android. This month I'm talking to Chris Brogan. Enjoy! Watch this inspiring interview I did with Chris Brogan, the publisher and CEO of Owner Magazine, author and speaker.
Chris Brogan, whose blog I follow daily, is promoting his latest book, The Freaks Shall Inherit the Earth: Entrepreneurship for Weirdos, Misfits, and World Dominators. He also offered this reading list "for freaks" that looks very interesting. Ender's Game. Forget the movie. This is how to think differently. Escape from Cubicle Nation.
At last, spring is here. Here is a list of new ecommerce and Internet-marketing books for spring 2014. There are new titles on content marketing, entrepreneurship, web psychology, small business branding, launching a venture, and low-cost innovation. I compiled this list using Amazon. From Amazon's "Books" category, I selected "Business & Money."
Joining us today is a man I consider to be one of the most influential bloggers in the world, the mastermind behind the digital magazine 'Owner' and prolific author, Chris Brogan.

Until the 1990s, a person had a certain career trajectory to follow. She would earn a degree, pick from a handful of companies that needed an employee with her degree, and then would start somewhere above the mail room and work up to middle management.
I just bought 8 copies of Chris Brogan's new book (and I think you should pick up a copy too). Why did I buy 8? It's not just because Chris is a friend, which he is. And it's not just because I personally find the book of great value, which I do.
I have always been an avid reader. I've always carried around two things, ever since I can remember and from what my family tells me, even before I can remember: at least one book and a notebook/journal. I also have an innate way of being able to connect people with like-minded people, whether it be for a project or potential friendship.
I am reading Chris Brogan's new book, the Freaks Shall Inherit the Earth. The book's tag line is Entrepreneurship for Weirdos, Misfits and World Dominators. While I don't consider myself a weirdo, early in my career I frequently felt like a misfit. And I definitely want to dominate the world.
