European Car Makers Can’t Compete With Ford

Ford is not only the unquestionable pioneer among U.S. automakers; they remain the nation’s contemporary pack leader as well. After all, few inventions can claim such command of the American landscape as Ford has. But blind chauvinism aside, there exist many other automakers throughout the world. Although talented, these companies cannot compete with Ford as America’s original automobile maker. Ford dealers from Utah to New York would have to agree with this sentiment.

1

Peugeot

Peugeot

When the name of your automaker closely resembles the name of a brittle-boned Pokémon, there’s no feeling safe or cool in your whip.

2

Audi

Audi

When every old white guy who’s been retired several years after working a soul-deadening corporate job decides to eat too much caviar and overdose on cocaine, chances are there’s an Audi in his driveway. To Utah natives wondering what cocaine is, just stay in church.

3

BMW

BMW

To any Ford dealer in the nation, BMW is without a doubt chic and high class. But this manufacturer has only mastered one type of luxury sedan and failed to demonstrate its versatility in other areas.

4

Fiat

Fiat

Currently undergoing a merger with Chrysler expected to reach fruition by the end of 2014, Fiat is one of a kind. Somebody should tell Fiat that when consumers look to buy a vehicle, they are going to check first to see if it’s cool, rather than if it’s something that closely resembles a common fodder Hot Wheels car so unimaginative that a two year old has trouble making use of it.

5

KTM

KTM

If your car’s typical make and model looks like something out of “Transformers” that isn’t Megan Fox, it’s hard to take seriously, no matter how speedy it is.

6

Bugatti

Bugatti

These guys make the list for the same reason that BMW does – the brand is too one-dimensional and fails to appeal to a broader range of consumers. However, it goes without saying that Bugatti is an excellent specialist automaker.

7

Bentley

Bentley

These guys would perhaps make it to the top of another list praising vehicles if they could figure out whether to model themselves as a town car or a sports vehicle.

8

Aston Martin

Aston Martin

Although many Utah natives desire to have one of these English cars in their driveway, any Ford dealer would feel comfortable telling them “the grass is always greener.”
