Captivating Covers: 6 Song covers worth Singing along to.

Song covers can offer a fan a different way of hearing a favorite song. These tunes will probably get stuck in your head but I’m sure you won’t mind at all.

Lorde sings "All Apologies" by Nirvana

Lorde sings “All Apologies” with the teenage mood that fits Nirvana perfectly. Singing at Nirvana’s Hall of Fame induction, she brings the vocals as well as the style with her hair carelessly in her face. She sings the ending of the song the way my friends and I used to while jamming to Nirvana and swimming in teen angst. It’s beautiful.

Jimmy Fallon and Anne Hathaway sing Hip Hop songs

This is an amusing and very well done cover of hip hop songs. The lyrics are provocative and Anne doesn’t skip a beat while she sings them with pure passion. Her vocal ability is jaw-dropping and matched up with the content of the music makes it a very fun video to watch.

Arctic Monkeys sing "Hold on we're Going Home" by Drake

Easily one of my favorite covers, the Arctic Monkeys add a funky feel to Drake’s hit “Hold on We’re Going Home.” The song is still very recognizable which is nice and seems to blend well with Drakes sound. This is important because some covers can be off putting. This is not the case here.

Ellie Golding sings "Rhythm of the Night" by Corona

This was a well known club song in the late 80s and early 90s. Even today it’s often requested at 90s parties and club nights. Ellie sings a softer version of the song, perfect for chilling out with a cup of tea. This version is just her cool and calm style.

Haim and Lorde sing "Are You Strong Enough to be My Man" by Sheryl Crow

Haim’s semi-nineties sound fits this Sheryl Crow cover seamlessly . Lorde jumps in and adds to the amazing sound with her always dedicated performance. These two acts along with the song are powerful and intense. Haim and Lorde are definitely ones to watch.

The Dixie Chicks sing "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus

No strangers to covering songs, the Dixie Chicks easily picked up “Wrecking Ball” and sang it beautifully. This song flows with the country vibe fairly well. The strings are gorgeous as they do justice to this pop ballad.
