Apps & Tools for Documenting Learning

Yesterday, we looked at an overview of the old and revised versions of Bloom's taxonomy. We talked a little bit about categorizing current classroom activities to see which of Bloom's objectives you're addressing (whether intentionally or unintentionally). Today, we're looking at some apps and web tools that address the Bloom's taxonomy objectives - helping bring Mr. Bloom into the 21st century.

One of the things that really excites me about the iPad is the ability of the students to show their learning. I am not talking about the end product here, I am talking about the act of learning that can be shown by students recording their processes.

There are a number of apps that are available that let you record your voice in order to convert it to text. I find this helpful when I need to transcribe longer pieces or even if I need to transcribe multiple entries.
