Global Gujarati: Rajiv Shah likely to be the next US Ambassador after Nancy Powell’s resignation

One of the names that was considered after Nancy Powell with US Ambassador to India quit her job was a Gujarati Rajiv Shah who is the head of USAID. Obama selected Rajiv for the job, who is the highest ranking Indian American in his cabinet and also Gujarati. Rajiv Shah is 41 years old and was born in ANN Arbor Michigan to immigrant parents from India.
