This is a list of places to get, create, and embed social media icons on your website. There are lots of icons out there, but it can be a pain to get the right color, the file format, the right icons, and know how to properly embed them on your website. Personally I am a big fan of SVG icons because they don't require loading image files. I invite you to contribute to the list!
This is my favorite social media icon generator because you don't need to do any coding or upload a CSS or javascript file to for your website for them to work. You can choose color, shape, and size, enter in your links and get the code. There's a huge number of icons to choose from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, Threads, Pinterest, WhatsApp, Reddit, and many more. They also have a cool HTML button generator if you need a call-to-action generator.
Here's an awesome list of my favorite free social media icons for 2013. I tried to pick sets that also included Pinterest and Google+ which are probably the newest kids on the social-media-block. Social Media Icons code for HTML for free. This site is pretty cool if you just need one icon, but not great for creating sets.

This W3schools tool is cool for creating social media icons if you are familiar with HTML, but it's missing some modern social networks.

Icon monster doesn't have a code generator but they do have lots of icons!
AICONICA doesn't give you the embed code but it does let you choose your color before you download your icons. And there are lots of options. Downloaded icons are distributed as public domain.
