Ten Favourite Fictional Characters

The protagonist for BBC Sherlock. The most brilliant, arrogant and phenomenal man, and quite often a complete pisspot - nevertheless you can't help loving him.

While Nine was the one I met and instantly liked, and Eleven became my best friend - Ten was the one I fell in love with. Allons-y!

Reading about Hermione was like being with a friend or even a reflection of myself. She's clever, confident, loyal, trustworthy, will let no man put her down (not even you, Ronald Weasley), caring and seriously without her, Harry would have died long ago. Hermione is the one character that shows you that every girl has greatness in her.

Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Brave, wise, a friend and a leader.

I fell in love instantly with Obi-wan. His charm, his Jedi skills, his courage (and Ewan McGregor) and a brilliant mentor to Anakin and Luke - Obi-wan is a true hero of the Star Wars franchise.

Brain and brawn (well, one at a time). His smarts appeal to me the most, but also his simple mind when he becomes "that guy". He's one of the most interesting Marvel characters.

Born in the hardest of times, Katniss often seems older than her age. She has no time for crushes and other such trivial things, because she cares more about Panem's dictatorship and taking care of her loved ones. In a world of Bella Swans, we definitely need more Katnisses.

Rose Tyler seems like your average young girl who works in a shop, but oh she is a LOT more than that. I related most with Rose because she and I met the Doctor together, she and I fell in love with Ten together and mostly because, she and I saved the universe together. Compassionate, loyal, brave, spirited and beautiful - Rose Tyler will always be my favourite companion.

Orphan Black is the coolest sci-fi show I've seen in recent times. Most of the credit goes to Tatiana Maslany's acting, but Cosima Neihaus is a character I adore. She's got the brains, she's got the charms, she's also got the hot French girlfriend. She's strong, funny and brilliant.

She's beautiful, her mutation is one of the most extraordinary and all she seeks is acceptance. She may lay her trust in the wrong magnetic hands, but her motives were always pure. All she wants is a way to be true to herself.
