There might be a few flurries left in Utah, but spring is fast approaching. With the increase of sunlight comes an increase in outdoor activity. The more active your streets are, the more likely your front yard is to become a part of their playtime. This is the only problem if they start a friendly game of baseball — a fly pitch ends up coming straight through your front window. Unfortunately, window breaks are common, and you wind up with a window repair you weren’t expecting this summer.

Sports Balls
In addition to baseballs, softballs, soccer balls and basketballs get flung through windows frequently during Utah’s summer.
8
Sticks
For some reason, children love playing with fragmented tree bark. One careless throw and you’re in need of window repair.
7
Rocks
The smaller ones might only chip or crack your window, but anything large enough to shatter the glass will require a full replacement.
6
Airsoft guns
Sounds unlikely, but it happens when the older teenagers get rowdy outside.
5
Lawn mower
Not that someone would intentionally drive their lawn mower into your front window — maybe they would — but the blades can often flick debris which can then break your glass to the point of repair.
4
Inside furniture
Believe it or not, inviting your Utah neighbors into your house for refreshing lemonade is always a risk. If the kids get wild enough, they could knock over furniture that could break windows and other valuables.
3
Slingshot
Little boys love to launch stuff, and it doesn’t go away with age. They may accidentally ruin a window in your home when aiming for the cute girl down the street.
2
Birds
This one seems unrealistic, but birds have been known to fly into home windows, causing damage. When summer strikes Utah, be wary of those fluttering fowls for the may end up causing you a costly repair.
