This post is for anyone who has thought about picking up the guitar but hasn't yet. For those of you who aren't musicians, becoming one is both more fun and easier than you imagine. I'm writing this post in the hopes that I can convince 1 or 2 of you to pick up a guitar and start making your own music.

Most people make one of two mistakes when they consider learning to play a musical instrument. They either assume that it's too hard and there's no way they can ever learn to play competently without years of expensive lessons or they assume that it's a piece of cake and won't take any real work.

Learning the guitar is a goal for many people, but far too few ever turn the dream into a reality. Some are unable to spend the time it requires to meet their short-term goals, and they become frustrated and eventually don't pick up their guitar again.

Learning to play the guitar to a very high level can take years. But if you are a beginner guitar player, you can learn to play guitar on this website for free. But I will warn you there are no easy ways to master this instrument.
