Top Content Curation Resources

Here is a list of great content curation resources so you never run out of ideas on what to write about.

Build engaged audiences through publishing by curation. | Scoop.it

Curate engaging magazines. Effectively feed your web presence. This site has content you can easily find by using keywords and creating your own dashboard based on a certain topic. Another great resource with options for sharing socially, or even reposting articles on your own Wordpress blog. Just remember to keep your comments insightful and relevant to the article.

Alltop, all the top stories

This site boasts "All the top headlines from popular topics around the web". I used to use them more frequently but the navigation can get a bit confusing unless you sort out your favorite feeds into your own personal page. If you're looking for business content or career-specific content this is a good resource to try.

Content marketing software tool to find and share great content | ContentGems

"ContentGems keeps you at the forefront on the latest trends, advice, and news in your areas of professional interest. You can view content on-demand at ContentGems.com or receive a convenient email digest."

I prefer the email digest. This one is hit or miss for me, but I do like the convenience of the information coming to me. I created a Gmail filter to put them all in one place for reading when I have time.

Swayy

Swayy

Swayy actually gives you content in more of a dashboard format. I've just started using it and so far I'm impressed how it pulls in engaging content based on your social activity. Connect through Facebook or Twitter, and recently they've also linked to LinkedIn.

You do have the option of upgrading but that's only needed if you want to use their analytics functions.

LikeHack | Share what your audience will like

"Find the most engaging content in just one minute a day. We monitor your news sources and find best stories worth reading and sharing today" and the cool thing with this resource is the ability to scan using various mobile apps. Definitely worth a look if you need quick scans.

Listly - Lists made easy + social + fun!

Of course, I couldn't talk about curation without including List.ly. This is an awesome site and I've seen a variety of creative ways to use it. You can embed videos, audio posts, and more into list format and people can up/downvote items on the list.

"Lists = Ranking. List Posts = Traffic. We help bloggers & brands curate, crowdsource, and engage readers via live embedded list content inside blog posts."

Right Relevance : Influencers, Articles and Conversations

Discover fresh relevant content to your interests, save interesting articles, follow influential experts, be the first to share soon-to-be viral content and much more

Feedly. Get smarter.

Feedly has been a major replacement for Google Reader, but it does even more than that tool previously did. It's a great resource for pulling together rss feeds into one place so you don't have to go to multiple blogs and read your favorite articles, plus the sharing options are phenomenal.
