Opera Beta

Opera Beta

Yes, this one surprised me too! As a lover of all things Google, Chrome was my browser of choice for an age. I tried Opera and love it, faster, more stable, simply epic on a large tablet - offers up the desktop version almost every time (Chrome I guesstimate does so 30% of the time.) The Off road mode saves monsterous amounts of data too. Great browser and the beta releases have been extremely stable.

Flipboard

Flipboard

Flipboard vs Feedly it was a close call as they do pretty much the same thing, very well - aggregation of News, Social Media and RSS feeds. From a personal viewpoint, Flipboard wins on aesthetics.

Once you pick a few topics, your Flipboard is built and you can instantly start flipping through the pages of news you care about and stories and photos friends are sharing.
