The Ringling has an amazing collection of European art from ancient Greek and Roman art to the Old Masters to entire rooms from the great houses of New York city.
The Ringlings' mansion is a giant pastiche of almost every major artistic movement in Europe. The house has elements of everything from Romanesque churches to Venetian villas.
The National Gallery is one of the fine art museums of the Smithsonian Institute. I can literally spend entire days here.
The Cummer is a beautiful museum with stunning gardens on the St. Johns River. There's also a fun interactive education space!
The Biltmore is one of the estates built by the Vanderbilt family during the Gilded Age. It's literally a French chateau in the middle of North Carolina. It is one of the most stunning historic homes I have ever visited.
EMP is one of the most unique museums I have ever been to. I particularly love the Sci-fi Hall of Fame.
Colonial Williamsburg is America's largest outdoor history museum and is one of my favorite places in the world.
The Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art at the University of Florida is the first museum I interned at. The Asian wing and gardens are so beautiful.
The National American History Museum is another part of the Smithsonian Institute. I love that their collection include contemporary history and pop culture.
Mount Vernon is the estate of George Washington and is the most popular historic estate in America. It is a stunning home and is very well preserved.
