Mix all of the ingredients together, and stir over low heat. The dough will begin to thicken until it resembles mashed potatoes. When the dough pulls away from the sides and clumps in the center, as shown below, remove the pan from heat and allow the dough to cool enough to handle.

100th Day of School blog hoppers, welcome to Playdough to Plato!! Since I'm a former kindergarten teacher, it's probably little surprise that my kids {ages 4, 2.5 and 5 months} and I spend most of our days doing fun learning activities. I suppose you could say it's my thing.

We spent a little time exploring inchworms this week. Of course, you can't explore inchworms without first reading the book" Inch by Inch " by Leo Lionni. To extend the book into our play we did a little play dough inchworm measuring... I made little rulers for my students to use.

Anyone who's ever played with the stuff knows that it's not just for modeling. Sure, you can shape it into a dog, a flower, a fish or a tree, and if you leave it to dry, your creation will harden into a sturdy, solid piece.
