Six Must-Experience Adventures in the Maldives – A Paradise for Thrill Seekers

Imagine a destination so beautiful it doesn’t seem real. That’s what the Maldives is. Those who visit in search of tropical bliss end up completely besotted. Here are the must-have experiences.

1

Jet Skiing

A thrill seeker, are you? Then you’d adore the opportunity to go jet skiing in the Maldives. Not every resort offers the activity, so make sure yours does. Jet skiing allows you to enjoy the tropical scenery of the Maldives in a thrilling way. Life jackets are a must, and a session lasts between 15 and 60 minutes, depending on the resort. You might not need a licence, and a safety briefing is usually given at the beginning.

2

Diving

The underwater world of the Maldives is full of wonders. There’s almost nothing that compares. Most who visit the Maldives want to try diving, so luxury resorts make it possible. The marine world here is home to an extraordinary array of fish species, including mantas, whale sharks, turtles, and various tropical fish. Life-giving corals form the foundation of this thriving underwater ecosystem. The best way to experience it yourself is by diving. Some resorts offer PADI courses for those serious about diving and wanting to gain certification. Furaveri Maldives, one of the best Maldives resorts for families, does offer PADI courses.

3

Stand Up Paddling

For a light adventure, try stand up paddleboarding. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the tropical scenery of the Maldives without hurrying. Stand up paddling is the opposite of jet skiing – it’s all about balance, serenity and connection with the ocean. The best time to try it is early in the morning when the world is still, the ocean calm, and the water glassy, making you feel as though you’re the only one there. SUP is a gentle adventure, but it does offer a full-body workout, engaging your core, legs, and arms. You can go paddling on your own or team up with a friend.

4

Enjoy a Fire Show

Fire shows are as entertaining as they are thrilling. Some resorts offer evening fire shows where performers master fire with many jaw-dropping stunts, such as dancing and even fire eating. As night descends on the islands, these agile performers light up the beach with their fiery displays. It’s suitable for all ages, but if you have children, make sure they know these stunts are not to be tried at home.

5

Flyboarding

Another thrilling activity to try in the Maldives is flyboarding. No experience is required; the instructor will get you up to speed. But what is flyboarding, though? It’s almost like flying, supported by the flyboard, which is attached to a boat that powers the board. It’s one of the best things to do for anyone looking for a bit of adventure.

6

Parasailing:

It’s an excellent way to enjoy the beauty of the Maldives from above. You’ll be attached to a parachute, which is connected to a boat. As the boat begins to move, so does the parachute, lifting  you up into the air.You don’t need experience to try it, but you will be given instructions before the activity.
