6 things to take along with you on your Bali trip – Your ultimate packing list for seamless travelling

Getting ready for a perfect holiday in Bali involves many activities related to beaches and temples. Since you need diverse essentials to explore these places, here is a packing list which will come in handy during your exploration in this location, which is known as the 'Island of the Gods'.

1

 Suitable clothing

Bali has a tropical climate. Therefore, it is always best to pack some loose and comfortable clothes in breathable fabrics like linen and cotton. Since most of the main attractions there are related to temple visits, you need to have some attire which covers your shoulders and falls below your knees. As you will also be hitting the beaches, take along a few swimsuits and flip-flops. Comfortable walking shoes are ideal for sightseeing excursions.

2

 Toiletries, medicine and first aid

Pack any toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, liquid hand soap and any other hygiene-related items separately. Many luxury resorts in Ubud, Bali, provide some of these, but if you use any specific brand, it is best to take those along, as it is doubtful that you will be able to locate the same at the local stores there. Be sure to take along any medicine that you are using and keep it within reach. First aid items like pain relievers and band-aids should be included in the list.

3

Travel documents

You need to keep your passport and visa safe with you. If you have any documents related to your booking confirmation at any accommodation you are hoping to stay at, pack those along with the other documents. It would be a good idea to have photocopies made of them and keep them in another safe place which is easily accessible.

4

 Sun protection essentials

You need to protect yourself from the harsh sun rays while you are at the beach or even outdoors sightseeing. Pack a high SPF sunscreen like SPF 50+. Make sure that it is also reef-safe so that you do not harm the environment. Toss in a hat or a bandana and some sunglasses to enjoy the heat with ease.

5

 Electronics

Bali has stunning locations which make a beautiful photo background. So be sure to take along your camera to capture these. Take along your mobile and any chargers to stay seamlessly connected while you are on the go. A property like Anantara Ubud Bali Resort provides free, high-speed WiFi to all those staying in their resort. Therefore, you will have no trouble keeping in touch with your loved ones, uploading your photos on Facebook or Instagram or keeping updated with social media.

6

 Insect repellents

Bali’s jungles and greenery are a good breeding ground for insects. Therefore, mosquitoes frequent certain areas. To protect yourself from insect bites and life-threatening diseases like malaria, use an insect repellent to keep these pests from approaching you. It is always a good idea to prevent rather than cure by becoming sick and then seeking medical attention. You can also sleep inside a net at certain places which are infested by mosquitoes.
