I call Facebook the "street" facebook dosen't care about your status. You get street cred as you go about your business. You can find the Good, Bad and the Ugly. Facebook doesn't care how you use it, as long as you use it.

Google+ Sentimental favorite. Its were I began this journey. Creative risk takers, Google+ is the most diverse of all the platforms. The development of a responsive (semantic) news steam algorithms, circle and share functions have changed the industry. Google hits more than it is misses. Google group communities are active and well moderated. The acquisition of YouTube will pay even bigger dividends in 2014. Members are to idealistic and unrealistic about user expectations

Twitter

Twitter is finding its footing providing powerful indexing of content accessible to marketing professional. This along with the speed of delivery, makes it a great tool for business press releases, updates and reviews. The integration of its lists with Listly gives the added ability to share and manage lists. It beginning to take steps in handling its garbage my strengthening blocking features.

Pinterest

Pinterest the popular reshare site, has really picked up its business applications. Using pins as product items. Small businesses are now able to catalog their entire showrooms of merchandise with descriptions and reviews. All of which are easily updated and Social. They will be fine if they focus on what they do best. Catalog, showcase, share, update and review. Resist conquering the world.

Great site. Subscribed to by many leading companies and professionals but must be a premium member to enjoy real engagement. Free members not only have limited access to building networking connections, but also your ability to join certain groups, access to the knowledge base, and notifications of events. Also premium members will likely be reluctant to engage free members on a consistent basis. With that being said, it may still be worth it.
