Why we love it:
The campaign embodies the true meaning of the holiday season--giving to those in need.

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber Macy's Holiday Ad - 2013

Featuring appearances from Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber, and Carlos Santana, as well as Santa (Kris Kringle), this campaign appeals to nostalgia for the traditional magic of the season with the fun of contemporary culture.

Why we love it:
Macy's and their Christmas magic campaigns always manage to find new and innovative ways to celebrate the season. This year's commercial brings back the nostalgia of Old Hollywood and juxtaposes it with contemporary Hollywood for lighthearted holiday fun.

John Lewis Christmas Advert 2012 - The Journey

Watch the John Lewis Christmas TV advert that celebrates the extra mile we all go to at Christmas to find the perfect gift. Called 'The Journey', the new advert opens in a family's snow-covered garden, with children making a snowman and snowwoman.

Why we love it:
Featuring a beautiful, tender song and gorgeous shots at various locations, it's a simple story with a rich, heart-tugging message that never veers into sentimentality. The closing call to action--"Give a little more love this Christmas"--is perfection in brevity.

Celebrate Christmas at Biltmore | Biltmore in Asheville, NC

Remember the childlike wonder you once felt as Christmas approaches? It's waiting for you at Biltmore this Christmas season. Explore George Vanderbilt's home decorated for the holidays in Asheville, NC.

Why we love it:
The nostalgia, opulence and luxury of an upper-class (almost royal) Victorian-era Christmas--the photos on the website are beautiful, showcasing the holiday decorations cast in soft, romantic lighting, and the website itself reflects all that's beautiful and romantic about the Biltmore during this holiday season.

Gap's #MakeLove Holiday 2013

Gap's campaign controversial this year celebrates the beauty of diversity as well as the artists and activists who seek to make the world a better place.

Why we love it:
The images are straightforward and intimate, showcasing each subject's personality as well as appearance; they're obviously wearing Gap clothes, but other than that, the brand takes a backseat to its message of inclusion through the celebration of differences - a great message for the holiday season, which emphasizes peace and goodwill to all.

Target's "Big Dog" Commercial 2012

in a snowy, lighted, idyllic shopping district, the Target dog--larger than life--comes ambling down the street, bringing a shopping bag of Christmas presents and adorable cheer

Why we love it:
It's clever marketing; every time it comes on, you know it’s the Target dog because of the cute red target mark on its face, even if they haven’t had a Target dog commercial all year - instant brand recognition. Plus, it's cute!
