To understand the fishermen's culture of the area, make sure to visit the Tanjung Balau Fishermen Museum, located just 200 meters from Pantai Tanjung Balau beach. Also known as Muzium Nelayan, which was a small fishing community before being turned into a museum in 1992. Outside the museum, life-size fishing boats are shown, offering great photo opportunities while showing traditional fishing methods. Inside, the museum features exhibits of fishing boat models, fishing nets, and tools, providing an insight into the fishermen's way of life. The museum also has several galleries, including the Sea Gallery, Fishermen’s Gallery, Geology Gallery, and Desaru Shipwreck Gallery.
